Bender Shipbuilding & Repair Co., Inc. performed an emergency
dry docking on the cruise liner “Noordam”. The vessel was stranded on rocks
off the coast of Mexico and suffered serious propeller damage after hitting
a coral reef. Extensive repairs were completed on both the CP propellers.
The stern tube seals were rebuilt in Bender's machine shop.
